Abstract: In today's difficult economy, many sectors have been impacted. Among the hardest hit are the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. With almost twice the unemployment rate compared to the national average, these sectors present significant challenges to those wishing to contribute to the development of innovative solutions to healthcare problems. As a 20 year veteran of biopharma, Dr. Daniel E. Levy will share his experiences transitioning from full time employment to consultant. Topics will include challenges in managing CROs, leveraging services for resources, networking and marketing. In this tough economy, there are plenty of reasons for not getting paid.
